Lone Star Airedale Terrier Club is proud to announce the 8th
annual Tom Lams “Sensitivity To Balance” seminar. This exciting all-day,
all-breed dog handling and training workshop will teach beginners through
professionals a training methodology that is so quick and effective that you
will not believe the improvement you will see in one or two days. His
gentle, positive approach to dog training and show handling has won him a
worldwide following.

Clinic is
limited to 18 participants with dogs. Saturday will be a Beginning
class. Sunday an Intermediate class. To attend on Sunday you must have
taken at least one day of Lams training. Attending on Saturday will qualify
you for Sunday.

Location:
Rose Creek Training
Facility & Kennel, 402 Lee Street, Red Oak, TX (15 minutes south of downtown
Dallas).
Fees:
PARTICIPANT:
$100/day or $85 for LSATC members
(active trainee with a dog receives a workbook)
AUDITOR:
$45/day or $40 for LSATC members
(observer without dog, receives a workbook)
RELATIVE AUDITOR:
$30/day (parent, sibling, spouse, life-companion or child accompanying a
participant or a regular auditor; observes only & shares relative’s
workbook.)
No registration will be accepted without
payment in advance; all fees are non-refundable. In the event that you are
unable to attend, you may “sell” your space to someone else.
Scholarship:
There
is one Airedale junior handling (9-17 yrs.) scholarship available. If
interested, please send application to Lynn Rickman, 8380 Cr 147,
Kaufman, TX 75142 by July 1st explaining why you want to attend
the seminar, what you hope to learn, and why you are interested in junior
handling. Scholarship is for two days and will cover 50% of the workshop
cost.
Food: A
light lunch is included. Beverages will be available.
Details:

First
time juniors, 14 & under, must have a paid adult present all day.
Participants are asked to bring a dog that is leash broken, crate trained,
well socialized, and completely healthy on the day of the workshop.

Puppies
must be at least 4 months old.

Timid or
soft-tempered dogs are welcome. Fear biting or aggressive dogs are not
permitted.

Bitches
in season may attend, but please point this out before the workshop
begins.

No
smoking is allowed inside the building.

No
movie, video or audio taping is allowed. Non-flash still shots are OK.
Bring:
Wear comfortable running shoes with
non-slip tread and informal clothing.
For your dog: a bowl & lots of water;
a crate (no x-pens) & lots of your dog’s favorite bait.
